Minecraft Education with Blockly
June 10 - June 14

In this course, students will learn to harness the power of code to warp and mold the world of Minecraft however they please allowing them to create mini-games, large structures, and interesting new scenarios! We will use the "drag-n-drop" programming language Blockly, so this course is best suited to beginners. Students will have a blast and learn Computer Science Fundamentals along the way!

Python with Code Combat
June 10 - June 14

With Code Combat, students will learn to program using the Python language by actually playing a game! Rather than use keys to move their character around and perform tasks, they will learn to type things like "player.move(10)" to move their character 10 steps. This course is great for all ages and experience levels!

Mobile App and Game Design
June 17 - June 21

In this course, students will develop games for an Android device and be able to play them on the device. Students will use Computer Science Fundamentals and the drag and drop programming language, Blockly, to create games such as Mole Mash, Pong, Defender, and more. By the end of the club, your student will have the skills to create their own game!

If your child loves playing video games, they'll love building them even more! This camp teaches the basics of the increasingly-popular Python programming language through creating a "choose-your-own adventure" game and a Tetris clone.

Makey Makey Makerspace
June 24 - June 28

In the Makey Makey Makerspace, students use a small circuit board (called the Makey Makey) and the programming language Scratch to create their own computer controllers. We will create things like a banana piano, pencil Pacman, and more!

In this course, students will become familiar with the process of game design. They will learn what parts go into making a game while also getting a feel for Unreal Engine. This will allow them to make a wide variety of games and animations that are sure to impress!

Students will learn the fundamentals of computer science like functions, loops, variables, and logic, while applying their knowledge in the most fun way we can think of: flying a drone!
